To B Or Not to E.T.

bet_awards[1]

It has been brought to my attention that at this past BET Awards Chris Brown was scheduled to perform but was pulled at the last minute.

One reason allegedly is because Rev. Al Sharpton said it wasn’t a good look for the network. What the fuck does BET have to do with you being a Rev? A man of God if you will. Now I know Al has been on the front line for a lot of issues but u lost me with this one buddy.

Now correct me if I’m wrong but in the bible doesn’t it “teach” forgive and forget?

The second reason is Jay-Z had put his 2 cents in about making sure he does not perform. J imagine if Def Jam in 96 said we can’t sign you because you “used” to sell drugs.

My other question is why can’t a 19 year old boy who mad a mistake perform a tribute to his idol?

Instead you people at BET allowed Lil Wayne and Young Money to parade around on stage cussin & fussin, clothes falling off when all Chris was gonna do is sing and dance his ass off as normal. Not to mention the pre-teens on stage dancing to “I wish I could fuck every girl in the world”.
SMH

I do not agree with what Chris did but that boy needs love not hate. Yall niggaz and I said it YALL NIGGAZ won’t be satisfied until yall find him dead in his bedroom because of how yall tore down a 19 year old boy.

Everyone said this is for Michael. Well I have news for you regardless of what u think MJ was about love and helping people believe. If you really listened to his music you would know.

Thanks for the corporate black on black crime.

Special thanks to The Ojays and NE-YO for making the show. Janet that took a lot for you to do. Thank you.

Just my thoughts.

  1. I agree 100%. Forgive that man. I really dont condone domestic violence but it was not that bad. And the full story has still not come out yet so lest ye judge…

  2. Well written. To back up your point on Al Sharpton, there were plenty of non-religious stuff going on during the show. So that means maybe there shouldn’t have been a show ok. What Chris Brown did was wrong yes but none of us are sin free. Yes this means you Rev Al!! This would have been the perfect time for Chris Brown to get back in the public eye and do what he does best and thats entertain, and hopefully get a chance to right his wrongs. I hope he’s learned his lesson. But back to the subject BET dropped the ball on the tribute. Yes there were bright moments like Ne-Yo, the Ojays. and Janet being brave in a rough time like that.
