Founder and chief executive of Violator Management/Brand Asset Group, Lighty has been a part of the music scene since 1988 when he joined Russell Simmons and Lyor Cohen at Rush Management.

I had the pleasure to see him work in action in my 2 years at Def Jam 97-99. His brothers Dave and Mike would see me out and always made sure I was good. Very sad.
