Born and raised on the South Side of Queens, New York; DJ Wayne Ski began his musical journey in 1994 when he started making Hip Hop mixed with R&B mix tapes while working for a local music store. With the desire to understand the music business, he landed an internship at Def Jam Recordings in 1997. The opportunity allowed him to network with other DJs, and A-Listers in the industry beyond the boroughs of New York.

By 2001, he landed his first weekly gig in New York City, setting up residency at Eau Bar, Sapphire Lounge just to name a few as the in-house DJ. Wayne Ski could be heard spinning Hip Hop, R&B, House, Reggae and classics all within the same night. With his vast knowledge of music and the buzz that he created for himself, he then went on to work with the legendary DJ Marley Marl in 2003 and became one of the featured DJs on Marley’s “FutureFlavasOnline.com”.

By 2004, DJ Wayne Ski had gained notoriety in New York City. The demand for his presence in the clubs combined with his popularity from Marley’s show, granted him an invite by BET producers to be featured on Rap City’s “The Basement” with Big Tigga. Later that year, he was asked to be a featured DJ on XM Radio’s “The City”. being featured on nationally syndicated shows would be the highlight of his career in 2004. The famed DJ then joined the team of Capitol Records recording artist MIMS. Ski was not limited to DJing, he was also responsible for arranging the music for all of MIMS’ live performances.

From 2006 – 2009 you could hear him spinning at various clubs in New York City like Flow, Wish 26, Club Elevate, Room Service, Stay Lounge, Fusion, and Vesta. Wayne Ski then went on to consult and DJ events for Digiwaxx Media.

While his resume continues to build as a DJ, he has become a full time producer and DJ/On-Air Personality as well as a host on many radio stations, including: Da BeatMinerz Radio, AllHipHop.com/Goom Radio, Break Thru Radio and Swurv Radio.
