Happy New Year to the entire TEAM SNATCH-1 Family, Friends & Support Unit….2011 was another tremendously successful one and we look forward to continuing to strive in 2012. The J.I Group Promoters of the Year Award-

STEVE G aka MR. FIRST SATURDAYS… Veteran of the game, his ’1st Saturdays’ Event @ Tabu Nightclub (Hempstead, L.I.) ran heavy throughout the year w/ Resident DJs, ‘Young Heat’ Johnny Han$um (Da Union) and Mello, rocking the crowd and Host Joe Jaxson entertaining the room. This monthly party went to Epic Status with Steve’s Birthday Party, to which ‘Da Fireman’ got called in as a Special Guest DJ to ‘Turn Up the already highly lit, FLAMES’!!! Crazy Party, Crazy Night…

Hosted by Diddy, Ciroc Vodka, AJ Calloway (Whut Up, Bison!!!) and Big Tigger, this Howard University Homecoming Party was CRAZY!!! Ciroc Every Where!!! If you didn’t have any Ciroc in your glass or your hand, better be Rose’, DP or H20… Or life for you was OVER!!! Lol… Shout Out DJ QUICKSILVA (Da Union Fam), who killed it on the set… French Montana became an Official Member of Bad Boy shortly after…. For more info and specifics… GOOGLE IT!!! LOL…

DJ SNATCH-1 Industry Middle Finger Category-

Any Promoter who didn’t pay his DJ, his valued worth… In this game, I’ve fought many promoters over the years for mine AND associated DJs (who may have also been on the event) valued compensation, for events that I felt the budget for DJs was not up to par. Unfortunately this year, I spent most of the time attacking this problem in meetings with DJ groups and individual promoters and less on specific events… I must admit, the promoters in my circle pretty much understand that I will not sell myself short, so they don’t come at me in such fashion. However, for what I’ve heard in meetings, some of you guys are ‘CHEAPING IT OUT’….

That gotta stop… PLEASE!!!

DJ SNATCH-1 Most Improved DJ-

DJ WAYNE SKI…. Mr. Anger Management from my Immense Music Squad/ Beatminerz Radio Team stepped up his game exponentially!!! My ‘Most Improved’ Award goes out to the DJ that made the most upward change from one year to the next. Wayne’s self-promotion game has sky-rocketed with his usage of the Mass Social Media and Knowledge of Technology, which he incorporated with his Knowledge of Music History and Raw DJ Skills. Let’s see where this goes in 2012…

DJ SNATCH-1 DJ To Watch Our For-

DJ EXEQTIVE… Last Year’s ‘Honorable Mention’ seemed to have energized DJ Exeq… He’s gone even harder with his Iphone/ Andriod APP. His presence in the NYC Nightclubs has increased and his collaboration internet radio show with me on SwurvRadio.com ‘FROM THE CLUB TO THE CRIB’ (Fridays 9-10pm EST) has become a staple for party-goers to tune into when getting ready to hit the Club, as well as a platform for artists to premier their ‘Hits’… Adding his corporate connections with such companies as Macy’s and T-Mobile, led me to believe that he has bigger plans in store… And then there’s SOBE SHUTDOWN in Miami (Columbus Day Weekend)… Ask about him.

2011 DJ SNATCH-1 Top 3 Community Accomplishments-

As many of you may know, in 2011 my P.H.P. Family lost one of our Brothers, RICHARD’ COOL DAVE’ GEORGES to a Disease called Cardiac Sarcoidosis, from which he fell victim to a fatal heart attack. Every event from that point forward was dedicated to his memory. Dave lived life to the fullest. He will remain with me FOREVER!!! Maybe one day, we’ll find a cure…

I’M BRINGING AWARENESS TO THE HOOD!!!!

DJ SNATCH-1 2011 HIGHLIGHTS:

1. WBLS 107.5fm: We Made It, Gram!!!! My Grandmother (R.I.P. Louisa Cummings) had a tradition where she used to prepare Sunday Dinner every week, religiously. The process started around 12pm (Noon) and completed around 4pm. The entire time, she’d be singing and dancing to the sounds coming from the kitchen clock radio. It was tuned in to 107.5fm (WBLS). She absolutely loved Frankie Crocker. Well, Labor Day Weekend 2011, her grandson dropped the needle and his sounds blared from speakers all over the Tri-State Area that were tuned into WBLS on that Beautiful Sunday Afternoon between 12 and 1pm. Big Shouts go out to Brown Hornit (Music Director) and Skip Dillard (Program Director) for the opportunity… I WORK HARD!!! You’ll see…

2. BEATMINERZ RADIO: Shout Out the Legendary DJ EVIL DEE & MR. WALT. They gave me a forum to be ME!!! I love to show the World what I think is HOT… I believe I have an ear for good music and talented artists (See ‘The MarXman’). With the co-sign of DJ Wayne Ski, The Beatminerz gave me a show on their station (BeatminerzRadio.com Fridays 6-8pm EST), which I titled ‘THE HEAT’ and where I spin just that… Might be BRAND NEW or CLASSIC, but the music you hear will definitely be HEEEEEEEAT!!!! Let’s keep rockin’ in ’12!!! Tune In….

3. THE SWEAT PARTY: A collaboration between my team (DJS1Events), Grae Enterprises (CEO Tim Grae), RamenBerry and DJ CEO, The Sweat Party became NYC’s Most Entertaining Event, while focusing on Wellness in the Community. The Event includes Pre-Party Zumba, Soca and Pole-Dancing classes, as well as Calorie-Loss Pedometer contests for prizes that included Vegas trip giveaways and free DJ lessons. Stay tune for the 2nd Year Anniversary of The Sweat Party on JANUARY 28th at the Legendary TRIBECA CINEMAS (Corner of Varick & Canal Sts., SOHO NYC).

In closing, shouts to all who have reached out and hired my services for their events. I truly appreciation each and every moment that was spent in the DJ booth musically entertaining and educating people. Special thanks go out to the promoters who had confidence that I could expand the minds of their patrons by not simply playing the ‘every night records’.
